Atlanta Transportation Committee to Discuss Dockless Mobility at June 18 Work Session

ATLANTA — The Atlanta City Council Transportation Committee will hold a work session to discuss dockless mobility on Tuesday, June 18, beginning at 1 p.m.

Committee Chair Byron Amos said the Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) will present an update on the state of shareable dockless mobility devices such as scooters and e-bikes in the city.

The committee approved an ordinance (24-O-1294) extending the current annual permits for these devices for one year. The current permits expire on June 30, 2024. The extension will allow ATLDOT time to complete a Request for Proposal that will replace the current program. The ordinance now goes before the full Council.

The work session will be held in the Larry M. Dingle Committee Room, second floor, Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Ave. SW.
