Atlanta City Council Member Andrea L. Boone Calls on Owners of Allen Hills-Commons Complex to Amplify and Strengthen Security Efforts After Wednesday Night Shooting
ATLANTA — District 10 Council member Andrea L. Boone issued the following statement calling on the owners of the Allen Hills-Commons complex to bolster security after a shooting Wednesday night at the dwellings along Middleton Road in Atlanta:
“This is heartbreaking news. Over the years, I have met with the owners of the Allen Hills-Commons apartments. I have implored them to step up uniform security officers and to regulate and investigate the tenants and their activities. I am outraged at the lack of investment in security for a privately-owned complex. Earlier this year, following another shooting at the same complex, I provided support for our beloved mail carrier who was injured there. I also plan to visit the family of the 17-year-old victim from Wednesday’s shooting,” Boone said.
