PUBLIC NOTICE

The Atlanta Board of Education General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023; and if necessary, a Run-Off Election will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, to fill Atlanta Public School Board Seats 1, 3, 5 and At Large 7 & 9.  Polls will be open between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.

Candidates shall qualify on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, Thursday, August 24, 2023 and Friday, August 25, 2023 between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Eastern Standard Time in the Office of the Municipal Clerk, Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Avenue, Second Floor, Suite 2700, by one of the following methods:

Filing a Notice of Candidacy and paying the set qualifying fee of $455.10 to the Municipal Clerk/Election Superintendent or designated agent for the desired office.

OR

 Filing a Qualifying Petition and a Pauper’s Affidavit, with the Municipal Clerk/Election Superintendent or designated agent, affirming under oath the candidate’s poverty or inability to pay the qualifying fee.
