Kelsea Bond (they/them) represents Atlanta City Council District 2, which includes parts of Midtown, Old Fourth Ward, Virginia Highland, Poncey Highland, Inman Park, and Little 5 Points.

Kelsea is a labor organizer and former education policy analyst who grew up in Decatur, GA. Following graduation from the University of Georgia with a double major in economics and Romance languages, they earned a master’s degree in economics at Georgia State University. For several years, Kelsea worked as a policy analyst for the State of Georgia, at the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement and Technical College System of Georgia.

Kelsea has been an ardent community advocate fighting for the rights of Metro Atlanta workers. In 2022, they helped organize the first two union Starbucks stores in Midtown Atlanta and have organized strike solidarity for several Atlanta unions. In 2023, Kelsea helped restart their union, United Campus Workers of Georgia Tech, where they worked to introduce state legislation to legalize public sector bargaining rights. They also serve on the Jobs with Justice Workers’ Rights Board.

Kelsea has lived in District 2 for 10 years, and currently lives in Midtown with their cat, Dodo. They are the current youngest Councilmember, the second nonbinary member elected to Atlanta City Council, and the first Democratic Socialist elected to Atlanta City Council. Kelsea was elected in November 2025 and serves on the Community Development/Human Services, Utilities, and Zoning Committees.
