Council Members Andrea Boone and Andre Dickens to Host “Back-to-School Bash” at C.T. Martin Recreation Center Saturday

ATLANTA — District 10 Council member Andrea Boone and Post 3 At-Large Council member Andre Dickens will host a “back-to-school bash” Saturday, Aug. 10 at noon at the C.T. Martin Recreation Center, 3201 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW.

The event is being held in partnership with the City of Atlanta Solicitor’s Office and will feature about 800 book bags with free school supplies while supplies last.

“This is a great opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate the new school year with friends and neighbors, and make sure our kids are heading back to class with the supplies they need,” Boone said.

The back-to-school bash will also include free food and health screenings and a DJ.

“As a parent, I know that book bags and school supplies can be expensive, so this bash is an excellent way to have fun and work together in the community to make sure kids are ready for the school year,” Dickens said.

For more information, contact Council member Boone’s office at 404-330-6055 or Rene Pennington in the Solicitor’s Office at 404-658-6965.
