WHAT: 23rd Annual Greenbriar Mall Back to School Bash

WHERE: Greenbriar Mall, 2841 Greenbriar Pkwy. Atlanta, GA 30331  

BACKGROUND: Atlanta City Council President Marci Collier Overstreet, Atlanta City Councilmembers Wayne Martin and Eshé Collins are sponsoring the Greenbriar Mall Back to School Bash. This multi-decade community tradition helps Southwest Atlanta students and parents prepare for a successful new school year. This year’s event will feature free bookbags filled with school supplies for the first 1,000 K-12 students, a free shoe giveaway, free haircuts, and other vital resources for young scholars.  

About Atlanta City Council

The Atlanta City Council is the chief policy-making body for the City of Atlanta. It acts by considering and enacting all laws that govern the City. The Council also approves the operating and capital budgets for the City as recommended by the mayor, and it continually monitors revenues and expenditures for local government operations.
