Atlanta City Council Announces FY2027 Interactive Community Budget Session and Public Hearing
ATLANTA — The Atlanta City Council will host the FY2027 Interactive Community Budget Session and Public Hearing on Monday, June 8, at 7 p.m. in Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Ave. SW.
During this session, residents will have the opportunity to share comments and ask questions regarding the City of Atlanta’s proposed budget.
Community members may submit written questions or short video comments (up to 15 seconds) in advance by emailing budgettalk@atlantaga.gov.The deadline for submissions is Sunday, June 7.
Residents may also participate during the live broadcast of the interactive budget hearing on the Atlanta City Council’s YouTube and Facebook. The hearing will be streamed simultaneously on these platforms, as well as on the Council’s Twitter and Channel 26. Closed captioning will be available on the Council’s Facebook page.
About the Atlanta City Council
The Atlanta City Council is the chief policy-making body for the City of Atlanta. It acts by considering and enacting all laws that govern the City. The Council also approves the operating and capital budgets for the City as recommended by the mayor, and it continually monitors revenues and expenditures for local government operations. The Atlanta City Council reviews and has final say on many land-use and zoning matters. Major economic development projects for the City also fall under the council’s jurisdiction.
