Atlanta City Councilmember Andrea L. Boone Joins DPW for FIFA World Cup‑Inspired Beautification Event

BACKGROUND: Councilmember Andrea L. Boone will join the Department of Public Works for a FIFA World Cup inspired Beautification event. Department of Public Works employees and Keep Atlanta Beautiful Commission, along with 75 employee volunteers from Cox Enterprises, Southern Company, and Georgia-Pacific will install pollinator planters along Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive SW.
This beautification effort will not only enhance the neighborhood ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup but also promote community pride and environmental stewardship.
About Atlanta City Council
