BACKGROUND: Atlanta City Councilmember Andrea L. Boone and Women Making History Tour Founder Tiara LaRae Johnson for the ninth annual Women’s History Celebration “Building Legacies in Real Time” on Friday, March 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Atlanta City Hall Atrium, 55 Trinity Avenue, SW.
This year’s honorees include City of South Fulton Mayor Carmalitha Gumbs, Fulton County Clerk of Courts Ché Alexander, and Christian influencer Aventer Gray, and several others in fields of music, film, business, politics and entrepreneurship.
This celebration connects hundreds of women entrepreneurs to honor everyday women making history now and shaping Atlanta’s future. Presented in partnership with women’s organizations across the state of Georgia, it’s also a networking event for attendees to connect and collaborate as women entrepreneurs.
About Atlanta City Council
The Atlanta City Council is the chief policy-making body for the City of Atlanta. It acts by considering and enacting all laws that govern the City.
