Atlanta City Councilmembers Andrea L. Boone and Jason Dozier Invite Residents to Westside Resilience Corridor Energy Industry Career Training Event on March 2

WHAT: Westside Resilience Corridor “Launch Your Career in the Energy Industry”               

WHEN: Monday, March 2, 6 p.m.

WHERE: Vicars Community Center, 838 Cascade Avenue, SW

 

BACKGROUND: Atlanta City Councilmembers Andrea L. Boone and Jason Dozier invites residents to the launch of the Career Pre-Employment Training (CPET) Program on Monday, March 2, at Vicars Community Center, 838 Cascade Avenue, SW, starting at 6 p.m.

Launched in partnership with the Westside Resilience Corridor, Georgia Power, the City of Atlanta, and Groundswell, the in-person information session will walk attendees through the 10-week CPET program, connecting residents to sustainable, upwardly mobile careers and skilled trades in the energy industry. During the session 15-20 residents will be selected to be a part of the first training group at no cost.
