Councilmember Jason Dozier Appointed to Two National League of Cities Advocacy and Governance Groups

ATLANTA — District 4 Councilmember Jason Dozier was appointed as a member of the National League of Cities Transportation and Infrastructure Services (TIS) Federal Advocacy Committee and Large Cities Council (LCC) for the 2026 – 2027 term. The appointment was announced by NLC President Kevin Kramer, Councilmember of Louisville, KY.

“I’m incredibly excited to expand my advocacy work on a national platform and to learn alongside leaders from across the country who are pushing forward innovative, people-centered approaches to infrastructure and transportation,” said Councilmember Jason Dozier. “Cities everywhere are grappling with many of the same challenges we face in Atlanta, and there is tremendous value in sharing best practices, hard-earned lessons, and proven strategies that put safety, equity, and economic opportunity at the center of public investment. I look forward to bringing those insights back home to Atlanta, strengthening the work already underway, and continuing to fight for infrastructure solutions that connect our neighborhoods, support local businesses, and improve quality of life for all Atlantans.”

The Transportation and Infrastructure Services Federal Advocacy Committee provides strategic direction and guidance for National League of Cities’ federal advocacy agenda and policy priorities, including local access to transportation programs for roads, safety, transit, rail, bridges, and more. The National League of Cities Large Cities Council develops programs that are beneficial in the use of resources of large cities and can be replicated across the county. In both groups, Dozier will play a key role in both advocating stronger transportation and infrastructure policies on behalf of America’s cities, towns, and villages before Congress, as well as collaborating with a diverse group of local leaders in developing beneficial programs for large cities.
