On the Agenda: Significant Legislative Items for Monday, Feb. 2
ATLANTA—The Atlanta City Council on Monday will consider a resolution authorizing a $1 million donation to the Atlanta Regional Commission and Propel ATL to support electric bike initiatives within the City (26-R-3108).
Other items on the agenda include:
- A resolution urging adoption of the Edgewood Corridor Public Safety Task Force’s full priority recommendation list and to consider implementation of the task force’s supplemental recommendations. The task force was created following a July 28, 2025, mass shooting in which one person was killed and 10 others seriously injured (26-R-3111).
- A resolution requesting a 180-day moratorium on the acceptance of any new alcohol license applications in the Edgewood corridor. The request was a priority recommendation of the Edgewood Corridor Public Safety Task Force (26-R-3175).
- A resolution expanding the boundaries of the Airport West Community Improvement District (26-R-3107).
- An ordinance amending the City’s Tree Protection Ordinance (TPO) to correct errors, provide clarification, and add a provision regarding tree removal on earthen dams (26-O1015).
The City Council will present a proclamation recognizing “Love Your Park Month.”
The Council meeting will be held in person at 1 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall. All meetings will be conducted under the City of Atlanta’s Charter, City Code of Ordinances, and the rules of the Council as adopted for in-person meetings. In-person public comment procedures will be held as previously conducted and adopted by the Council following City Charter Sections 2-104 and 2-105.
The Council’s Committee Chairs briefing will be held in person on Mondays at 9:30 a.m. in the Council Chamber during the week of full Council.
The Committee on Council will convene in the Larry M. Dingle Committee Room at 11 a.m. before Monday’s full Council meeting.
The meeting will be available through simulcast on the Council’s website, YouTube channel, Facebook, X, Instagram accounts and Channel 26. Closed captioning will be available on the Council’s Facebook page.
