BACKGROUND: Post 1 At-Large Atlanta City Councilmember Michael Julian Bond hosts the ATL Fresh & Free Drive-Thru Food Giveaway on Wednesday, Dec. 17, at MARTA Oakland City parking lot, 1400 Lee Street, SW, starting at 2 p.m. until supplies last. Along with fresh produce and grocery staples, this month’s food giveaway also includes free turkey for the holiday season. This is a free public food distribution, and all are invited to participate.

About Atlanta City Council

The Atlanta City Council is the chief policy-making body for the City of Atlanta. It acts by considering and enacting all laws that govern the City. The Council also approves the operating and capital budgets for the City as recommended by the mayor, and it continually monitors revenues and expenditures for local government operations.
