ATLANTA—The Atlanta City Council on Monday will consider an ordinance authorizing acceptance of an approximately $1.8 million Surface Block Grant Award from the Georgia Department of Transportation for construction of pedestrian safety improvements and a shared-use trail along Lenox Road between SR 141 (Peachtree Road) and East Paces Ferry Road, near the Lenox MARTA rail station (25-O-1588).

Other items on the agenda include:

• A resolution executing an 18-month, $10 million cooperative agreement for winter operations and maintenance services at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (25-R-4085).

• A resolution authorizing execution of a two-year, $2.5 million agreement for development of the City of Atlanta Comprehensive Transportation Plan and associated scope (25-R-4001).

The City Council will present proclamations and recognitions to Dr. William Cleveland and Darren Myles.

The Council meeting will be held in person at 1 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall. All meetings will be conducted under the City of Atlanta’s Charter, City Code of Ordinances, and the rules of the Council as adopted for in-person meetings. In-person public comment procedures will be held as previously conducted and adopted by the Council following City Charter Sections 2-104 and 2-105.

The Council’s Committee Chairs briefing will be held in person on Mondays at 9:30 a.m. in the Council Chamber during the week of full Council.

The Committee on Council will convene in the Larry M. Dingle Committee Room at 11 a.m. before Monday’s full Council meeting.

The meeting will be available through simulcast on the Council’s website, YouTube channel, Facebook, X, Instagram accounts and Channel 26. Closed captioning will be available on the Council’s Facebook page.
