On the Agenda: Significant Legislative Items for Monday, Oct. 6
ATLANTA—The Atlanta City Council on Monday will consider an ordinance authorizing an agreement to add approximately $4.7 million for continued construction of the Cascade Road Complete Street project, including streetscape and signal installation (25-O-1528).
Oher items on the agenda include:
- An ordinance ratifying Mayor Andre Dicken’s Executive Order directing that City officials accept no new applications for permits related to outdoor vending on public or private properties, permits for activities which may impede the right of way or require closures, and permits authorizing the conduct of large gatherings and outdoor festivals within the FIFA Activation Zone around Mercede-Benz Stadium from June 13 to July 19, 2026 (25-O-1527).
- A resolution authorizing the City to apply for and accept a grant from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Program in an amount ranging from $1 million to $3 million, to be used to fund the opening and improvement of Falling Water Park (25-R-3902).
- An ordinance to donate $250,000 to the Atlanta Regional Collaborative for Health Improvement (ARCHI) to support emergency home repairs for legacy residents in order to help prevent displacement (25-O-3901).
- A resolution appointing 12 members to serve on the City of Atlanta Reparations Study Commission (25-R-3899).
The City Council will present proclamations and recognitions to Judge Winfield Murray, ATL311 Customer Service, 2025 Senior Games, and Delta Airlines.
The Council meeting will be held in person at 1 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall. All meetings will be conducted under the City of Atlanta’s Charter, City Code of Ordinances, and the rules of the Council as adopted for in-person meetings. In-person public comment procedures will be held as previously conducted and adopted by the Council following City Charter Sections 2-104 and 2-105.
PLEASE NOTE: The Council’s Committee Chairs briefing, normally held in person on Mondays at 9:30 a.m. in the Council Chamber during the week of full Council, is cancelled.
The Committee on Council will convene in the Larry M. Dingle Committee Room at 11 a.m. before Monday’s full Council meeting.
The meeting will be available through simulcast on the Council’s website, YouTube channel, Facebook, X, Instagram accounts and Channel 26. Closed captioning will be available on the Council’s Facebook page.
