Atlanta City Council Members Grieving Over Death of Buckhead Teenager in Tragic Accident
ATLANTA — A Buckhead teenager, driving a motorcycle, was killed in a tragic accident after colliding with an SUV at the intersection of Roswell Road and Laurel Forest Circle last Saturday, September 13, 2025.
Concerned Buckhead residents have gathered a petition for Council Members Mary Norwood and Howard Shook, along with the Atlanta Department of Transportation, and MARTA to assess the intersection and immediate area to see what modifications could be made.
Council Members Mary Norwood and Howard Shook, representing the Buckhead Community, have issued a joint statement: “We are shocked and are grieving this terrible accident. Our thoughts and prayers go to the family and friends of the teenager who died. We are working to ensure that agencies, including but not limited to the Atlanta Police Department, the Atlanta Department of Transportation, MARTA, and the Georgia Department of Transportation, are reviewing the circumstances surrounding this tragedy and will take any appropriate actions as a result.”
