ATLANTA CITY COUNCIL PRESIDENT CEASAR C MITCHELL PARTICIPATES IN M.L.K DAY OF SERVICE WITH HANDS ON ATLANTA

ATLANTA-Atlanta City Council President Ceasar C. Mitchell will join the Hands on Atlanta Board of Directors and the Advisory Board for their annual M.L.K Day of Service on, Monday, January 21, 9:00AM-1:00PM. The volunteers will participate in a beautification project at Boyd Elementary School, located at 1891 Johnson Road in Atlanta.

 Volunteers will paint, organize classrooms and closets, and create banners to hang in the hallways.

“I am honored to join the Board of Directors and the Advisory Board for this important service project,” said Council President Mitchell. “This is a perfect opportunity to improve the learning environment for our most precious resource, our children.”

Council President Mitchell is a former Board Chair for Hands on Atlanta, and currently serves on the organization’s Advisory Board.

In addition to beautifying the indoor environment for Boyd Elementary School students, teachers and administrators, volunteers will also complete a landscaping project on the grounds of the school.

 Boyd Elementary school is an Atlanta Public School and is located in west Atlanta.
