Atlanta City Council to recognize “Inman Park DineOut”

ATLANTA – District 2 City Councilmember Kwanza Hall will present the Inman Park Neighborhood Association and the Inman Park Business Association with a proclamation for their work organizing the July 29 “Inman Park DineOut for Public Safety” TODAY Monday July 20, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the regular meeting of the Atlanta City Council.

On July 29, participating Inman Park businesses will donate a portion of their sales to the Inman Park Security Patrol. “Inman Park residents and business owners are passionate about public safety,” said Hall. “The DineOut is an opportunity for everyone who lives, works, and plays in Inman Park to support the patrol.”

As part of Monday’s presentation, Jake Rothschild of Atlanta-based Jake’s Ice Cream will announce the winner of a new “Inman Park” ice cream flavor. On Sunday, July 19, Hall worked with Rothschild at Jake’s Ice Cream in the Irwin Street Market to mix the ingredients for the winning flavor. A portion of proceeds from sales of Jake’s “Inman Park” ice cream will benefit the Inman Park Security Patrol. Samples of the new flavor will be distributed at the Council meeting.
