ATLANTA – Atlanta City
Council Member Natalyn Archibong will present a proclamation recognizing the 25th
Anniversary of the East Lake Easy Goers Golden Age Club at 11 a.m. on Tuesday,
October 2 at the Rosel Fann Recreation Center, 365 Cleveland Avenue, S.E.
Organized in 1987 by a group of concerned senior citizens in
the East Lake community the East Lake Easy Goers Golden Age Club cultivates
friendships and camaraderie through social gatherings and outings and luncheons
throughout the year.

Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs on several community
initiatives. The East Lake Easy Goers Golden Age Club is also registered
with and administered by the Golden Age Council.
Club members organize and maintain neighborhood watch
meetings, assist children in the community by organizing and hosting block
parties, provide food and personal hygiene items to the homeless, knit hand-made
throws for patients at local hospices, participate in political events and
activities involving the East Lake community.
The East Lake Easy Goers Golden Age Club also serves lunch,
reads stories, and provides and distributes Christmas gifts to residents at
nursing homes throughout the city.
The East Lake Easy Goers Golden Age Club members provide an
uplifting social environment and also a support system for group members during
times of illness, comfort in loss, and celebrating milestones.
