Atlanta City Council Member Felicia Moore will be the guest speaker at the Salvation Army Red Shield Services’ Dress for Success

ATLANTA – Atlanta City Council Member Felicia Moore will be the guest speaker at the  Salvation Army Red Shield Services’ Dress for Success event.

This event will take place on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Salvation Army Red Shield Services, located at 400 Luckie Street N.W., Atlanta Georgia 30313 at 2:00 p.m.

Dress for Success is a runway walk where women will be wearing business attire that has been donated to help them in order to go out and re-enter the business industry, knowing the meaning to be dressed for success.

All across the nation, the Salvation Army’s Dress for Success program has helped thousands of women proudly re-enter the workforce.
Many women in metro Atlanta are struggling to regain financial independence and improve the quality of life for their children and families. That’s why Dress for Success is so important.

In addition, the Salvation Army Red Shield Services’ has also started a Personal Professional Development and Life Skills class to help the clients improve their lives to make it in the business field. This class also helps to build up their self-esteem and help them to know their self-worth.

The Salvation Army Red Shield Services is dedicated to enhancing and restoring the dignity and hope of the homeless, by providing meaningful programs and activities, resulting in independent and productive members of society.

For some people, that makes all the difference in turning their lives around.  The Salvation Army Red Shield Services also provides shelter for unaccompanied men and women as well as families with children 365 days a year.
