Neighborhood Jazz Concert Series The sound of jazz has made its way to Atlanta once again. Music lovers around Metro Atlanta will have a host of free jazz concerts to choose from thanks to Neighborhood Jazz Concert Series. The family-friendly concert series, hosted by several members of the Atlanta City Council, serves as the lead-in to the popular annual Atlanta Jazz Festival. The Atlanta Jazz Festival—one of the nation’s largest free jazz festivals—is set for Memorial Day weekend at Piedmont Park. The jazz series includes performances from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. over Saturdays and Sundays in the month of May. Atlanta City Council President Felicia Moore and Councilmember Andre Dickens will kick off the May 6th event featuring Gritz & Jelly Butter and Wolfpack ATL at West Manor Park.
