Council President Felicia A. Moore Issues Statement Regarding Proposed State Airport Oversight Committee or Authority

ATLANTA – Council President Felicia A. Moore issued the following statement regarding a proposal in the Georgia state legislature that involved the creation of a state airport oversight committee or authority.

"The Georgia state legislature’s decision to forego the creation of a state airport oversight committee or authority is a welcome turn of events. I would like to thank members of the Atlanta City Council for their engagement around this issue and establishing a presence at the Capitol throughout the session. The outcome of these actions, in conjunction with work performed by the Administration, is that we live to fight another day. My office and the Council stand prepared to further address the procurement concerns that gave rise to this effort as we continue advancing the goal of restoring public confidence in local government."
