City Utilities Committee to Hold Public Hearing on Proposed Solid Waste Collection Rate Adjustment

ATLANTA – The Atlanta City Council’s City Utilities Committee will hold a public hearing Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 9:30 a.m. to discuss legislation that would adjust the rates charged for solid waste collection services (Legislative Reference No. 18-O-1300).

Current solid waste rates versus future rates can be viewed here.

In September, the city’s Department of Public Works held a work session on the rate adjustment. A copy of the department’s presentation can be found here.

The public is invited to attend the Oct. 9 public hearing, which will be held in Committee Room #1, 2nd floor, Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Avenue SW.

Atlanta City Council
The Atlanta City Council is the chief policy-making body for the City of Atlanta: it acts by considering and enacting all laws that govern the City. The council also approves the operating and capital budgets for the City as recommended by the mayor, and it continually monitors revenues and expenditures for local government operations.
