Atlanta City Councilmember Joyce Sheperd to serve as Grand Marshall for the Third Annual Pittsburgh Community Parade  

ATLANTA – Atlanta City Councilmember Joyce Sheperd has been chosen to serve as Grand Marshall for the Pittsburgh Community Holiday Christmas Parade celebration.

The parade and rally celebration will take place Saturday, December 16th at 10:00 a.m. The parade begins at Stephens and McDaniel Street and will proceed down to Fletcher Street, then east on Fletcher to Garibaldi Street and ending at Pitman Park. 

Atlanta Fire and Rescue trucks will serve as Santa’s Sleigh and the Protocol Motorcycle Club will provide riders wearing Reindeer ears to lead the sleigh.  Sing along with the church choirs, enjoy the Atlanta Police Department Mounted (Horse) Patrol, see the inflated dragon donated by Home Depot and more fun along the parade route. 

As part of this exciting community celebration and In association with the local YMCA, ten needy families will receive delicious food baskets for the holiday. 

This is event is one of the many highlights of Council District 12 during the holiday season as councilmember Sheperd looks forward to participating in this wonderful community-wide celebration.
