ATLANTA – On Monday, October 30, Atlanta City Councilmember Kwanza Hall will join community members to dedicate a City of Atlanta crosswalk in memory of the late Melissa Firestone, a longtime Old Fourth Ward neighborhood leader and advocate for seniors and people with disabilities who passed in April.

The dedication ceremony will take place at 9:45 a.m. on Linden Avenue between Central Park Place NE and Hunt Street NE, just south of the Atlanta Housing Authority’s Cosby Spear Highrise Apartments.

The ceremony will include remarks by Councilmember Hall; Scott Barfield-McGinnis, President of the Fourth Ward West neighborhood association; and Catherine Buell, President & CEO of the Atlanta Housing Authority. Full Radius Dance, a physically integrated dance company, will also perform.

After the ceremony, the public is invited for light refreshments in the community room of Cosby Spear.
