ATLANTA --- The Atlanta Jazz Festival’s Neighborhood Jazz Series will return to West Manor Park from 4 until 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 20.  The West Manor Park event is hosted annually by Council President Ceasar Mitchell and Councilmember Andre Dickens.

The concert will feature musical performances by Julie Dexter and Gritz & Jelly Butter. The family-friendly event will also include food vendors and game activities for children.

"This is one of my favorite annual community events that we host,” said President Mitchell. “It is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy great live jazz music, to fellowship with residents, and to enjoy an evening with family and friends.  This year I am excited to have such a fantastic lineup of Julie Dexter and Gritz & Jelly Butter performing."

Councilmember Dickens said, “It brings me great joy hosting the 2017 Neighborhood Jazz Series alongside Council President Ceasar Mitchell. I grew up playing in West Manor Park and I now have the honor of bringing together two things that make Atlanta the city it is; one of great musical culture and loving families. Both jazz acts are incredibly talented and I can’t wait to enjoy the music with my Atlanta Family.

Saturday’s concert is free and open to the public.  Please bring your picnic basket, blankets and lawn chairs.
