Atlanta City Council to host interactive public hearing on FY18 budget


ATLANTA – Starting at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 11 the Atlanta City Council will hold an interactive public hearing on the proposed city budget in the council chamber. During the meeting Atlanta residents, business leaders and other stakeholders will have an opportunity to ask questions about the City of Atlanta’s proposed budget the city services that will be provided or impacted. The meeting will be broadcast live on City Channel 26.

Questions from participants will be answered during the live broadcast. The meeting will also be streamed on the City of Atlanta’s website at (Click on the ATL City Channel 26icon in the middle of the webpage and click on the words: “Watch Channel 26 Live” located on the left of the screen.)

Questions can be submitted electronically and via telephone during the live public hearing using the following:

To learn more about the City of Atlanta’s budget, the city’s finance department created Atlanta Budget Explorer (ABE) to give Atlantans the opportunity to take a closer look at how their city expends its money.
