Atlanta City Councilmember C.T. Martin and the Office of the City Solicitor to host the 3rd “Fight Against Blight” Educational Symposium at the Adamsville Recreation Center on Saturday, April 22

Scrap tire collection to take place in the recreation center parking lot

ATLANTA – Atlanta City Councilmember C.T. Martin, in collaboration with the Office of the City Solicitor, will host the 3rd “Fight Against Blight” Educational Symposium from 9 a.m. until 12 noon on Saturday, April 22 at the Adamsville Recreation Center, 3201 M.L. King Jr. Drive, S.W.

Attendees will be trained on how to recognize various City of Atlanta Code violations and how to assist city departments in effectively combating blight in their neighborhoods.

The free symposium is open to the public.

Also on Saturday, in recognition of Earth Day, Martin will host the District 10 annual scrap tire drive from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Adamsville Recreation Center. District 10 residents and community organizations are welcomed to drop off scrap tire for proper disposal, free of charge. Tires with rims and large truck tires will not be accepted. Commercial business are prohibited.
