12O1004( 1) An Ordinance by Councilmember Michael J. Bond as substituted by Public Safety and Legal Administration Committee as substituted by the Atlanta City Council amending Part II (General Ordinances), Chapter 43 (Commercial Solicitation) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Atlanta to declare it unlawful aggressive solicitation for one to commercially solicit a person by touching the person solicited; to require individuals convicted of aggressive solicitation to be sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the City of Atlanta Detention Center not to exceed 180 days; and for other purposes.

Ordinance 12-O-1004 was adopted by the Atlanta City Council at its regularly scheduled meeting held September 17, 2012; however, Mayor Kasim Reed returned the Ordinance as Vetoed on September 25, 2012.

12R1280( 9) A Resolution by Public Safety and Legal Administration Committee authorizing the Mayor or his designee to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Metro Atlanta Urban Areas Security Initiative to expend $1,250,005.00 of Homeland Security Grant Program funding on behalf of the Atlanta Police Department for equipment to enhance police response capabilities to terrorist attacks, pursuant to the Urban Areas Security Initiative; and for other purposes.
