Atlanta City Council creates advisory committee for the redevelopment of the Bellwood Quarry 
ATLANTA – The Atlanta City Council approved a resolution Monday creating a 16-member advisory committee to make recommendations on the redevelopment of Bellwood Quarry, a site in northwest Atlanta bought by the city in 2006.

ATLANTA – Atlanta City Councilmember Kwanza Hall and 400 volunteers were joined by Founding Executive Director of Hands on Atlanta Michelle Nunn and Second Lady of the United States Dr. Jill Biden on Saturday, October 18th to kick off Hands On Atlanta Day 2014.

ATLANTA – Atlanta City Councilmember Felicia Moore joined host Stephanie Sy of Al Jazeera America Morning News on Thursday to discuss local preparedness in lieu of another case of the Ebola virus contracted in the United States.

ATLANTA – Join Atlanta City Councilmember Yolanda Adrean on Thursday, October 16th at 10 a.m. for the opening of Fort Peachtree, a replica of part of the first non-Indian settlement in Atlanta, built by City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management near the Atlanta Waterworks pumping station as part of the bicentennial celebration.

ATLANTA – The Atlanta City Council approved a resolution Monday requesting a briefing from all affected city departments on a plan of action and preventive measures regarding the world wide threat of Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever (Ebola).  

Atlanta City Council approves “Ban the Box” legislation 
ATLANTA – The Atlanta City Council approved an ordinance Monday expanding efforts to eliminate discrimination against potential applicants for jobs with the City of Atlanta who have prior criminal convictions.
